WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – May. 31, 2019 – College Preparatory Invitational (CPI) will hold their second annual New Jersey Horse Show at The Ridge Farm at Riverview in Asbury, which will take place Sept. 21-22, 2019. Young equestrian athletes compete in the collegiate catch-ride format and do not bring horses to CPI horse shows.

Applications for the event are open and available on the CPI Website. Space is extremely limited. Riders are encouraged to submit their applications early.

The CPI Horse Show combines college recruiting, an introduction to the collegiate equestrian competition format and a college fair. The event also features presentations by equestrian industry speakers. Through CPI’s nonprofit organization, the CPI Scholarship and Educational Fund, students can earn scholarships.

The popularity of collegiate equestrian competition coincides with a demand for the equestrian science major, now offered at many universities. New Jersey is a hub of equestrian activities and the largest collegiate equestrian organization in the world, the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) was founded at New Jersey’s Farleigh Dickinson University. There are nearly 60 collegiate equestrian teams in New Jersey and New York alone. The equestrian industry is growing and there are professional opportunities for graduates in a range of categories.

“We are excited to return to The Ridge for another great event and we thank Nona (Garson) and George (D’Ambrosio) for their hospitality,” said Lindsay Martin, CPI president. “We look forward to a fun competition and helping equestrian students find the right fit for their college experience. As always, CPI facilitates college and university representatives seeking team members and great students.”
